The Village of Butler, population 1,882, is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager. A key member of the Administrative team, the Finance Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Village’s financial operations, ensures that the financial operations of the Village are in compliance with general accounting practices and Wisconsin State Statutes and assists the Village Administrator as directed.
This individual will work collaboratively with Village elected officials, appointed officials, staff, and the community to continue the success of the Village.
Ideal candidates have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the operation of municipal financial operations, including cash flow; accounts receivable and payable; utility billing; investments; payroll; internal controls; debt service; audits; compliance; tax roll generation and revenue collection. The Village of Butler emphasizes excellent customer service and the ideal candidate will be able to provide a high level of customer service in person, over the phone, and in writing.
Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management, public administration, or a closely related field and three to five years of related experience. An equivalent combination of related education and experience will also be considered. Pay range is $18.00 – $21.00 DOQ.
